one heck of a week

hello out there...

again, my apologies for the weblog delinquency. i took a long weekend to calcutta last week and came back bearing a little bacterial souvenir. i've been down for the count for about three days and started medicating with cipro. i can't wait until i have a solid BM. sorry, but that's the way foreigners in bangladesh talk to each other..."hey Rachel, how's your diahrrea?!"

anyway, interesting tid bits...

1. in an odd twist of fate, my digital camera broke for good in india...RIGHT before my scenic trip to the sleepy artisan village of shantiniketon in india. no new pictures for a while.

2. my roomate and good buddy karishma is moving out this week. she's headed on a one-month, soul-searching trip to burma by herself. then she's back to L.A.

3. just finished my THIRD dan brown novel. darn you k and katie for hookin' me in with The Davinci Code!

4. i literally dreamt i was at Denny's last night, mowing on a soy burger and onion rings...or were they spicy curly fries? anyway, it's been all i can think about today. i am smitten.

5. got accepted into a cool and progressive masters program at Clark University, Worcester, MA. international development and social change. they're giving me a decent chunk of change and even a teaching assistanceship. perhaps even more undergraduate students will get an accidental peek my backside as my corduroy pants drop below the "bum line."

6.i miss my dog. good boy Raja, good boy!
