Bishnu Goes to Harvard

Long overdue pictures from Bishnu's "Bridge Builders" Conference at Harvard. She spoke on a panel with two other women from the Phillipines and Afghanistan about their grassroots efforts at empowering women in their communities. The moderator was a Harvard lady who reminded me of a gameshow host.



We took Bishnu out for dinner and drinks afterward (more like drinks and dinner). It was so cold that my friends Jason and Casey from North Carolina and Oregon respectively, nearly cried. Casey got food poisoning from the extra spicy lamb she had at an Indian restaurant in Harvard Square and puked on the drive back to Worcester (on which we got lost for an hour).
