Auntie T

Yesterday one of my best friends from high school and college gave birth to a lovely baby girl named Sofia Kathleen. I've been having a rough week, but every time I felt like I wanted to quit school yesterday, I thought of this beautiful little child and I smiled. I'm an aunt. What a wonderful feeling.

Sometimes it's easy for me to lose perspective. For some reason, this new little person in my life has renwed my vigor to fight and make the world a slightly better place--however I can do that. I know her Mom and Dad feel the same way.
